Kosovo/ Abdixhiku before the session: Democratic balance, the key to the

The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, has said that the key to the agreement between his party and the Vetëvendosje Movement of the incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, is the agreement on “democratic balance.” Abdixhiku, who has met with Kurti three times in an attempt to reach a much-needed agreement on the formation of institutions and the end of the political crisis, said that there are still major differences between the parties on the issue of the president.

"There are many approaches on many issues, but we still have distance on the main issue, which is democratic balance. The Assembly must be constituted today, there is no reason not to be constituted," said Abdixhiku.

Abdixhiku said he does not want to talk about names for the post of president, insisting that his party deserves the position.

"We seek democratic balance, which requires that the LDK be represented. We are not talking about the names of individuals, but about democratic balance that would be good for Kosovo as well," he said.

"We still have 25 days to form the Government. If we agree earlier on all institutions, better, if we do not agree, we must be transparent with you and the people that this is all we have been able to do and unfortunately we cannot do more. As long as we are meeting, it is good news," he added.

A decisive moment for Albania

It is the first time that Albanians feel they can shape the national debate without waiting for political parties to take the lead. Experience teaches us that democracy depends not only on elections, but also on active citizenship among them.

Before the verdict/ Maneuvers to get Veliaj out of the cell

Is there a new Rama-Veliaj pact that foresees the mayor's release from prison? Why did the head of government approve the dismissal of Anuela Ristani this time and why might it be beneficial for him to have "Lali's" return to office?

Greece lowers food prices, Rama: We will not intervene, the "system" does not allow us

The Greek government has reduced the prices of more than 1,700 products through an agreement with industry, suppliers and supermarkets; on the other hand, the Albanian government says it cannot intervene in prices because the "system" forbids it and promises only "transparency", at a time when Albanians are paying more for food than the European Union average and with price increases much higher than their neighbors.
