New details from the event that shocked Athens/ The wife of the Albanian who

New details have emerged about the incident that shook Athens this morning. A 48-year-old man of Albanian origin, identified as Altin Allmuça, shot and killed a 45-year-old Albanian woman, identified as Julieta Obzova, and then ended his own life with the same weapon. The incident occurred on the street in the “Nea Smyrni” neighborhood in the early hours of Sunday.

According to Greek media, the 48-year-old had been a concern for authorities in Albania. In 2016, he was allegedly accused in Tirana of stalking and raping his wife. He was arrested in the case, but was later released. Allmuça was married and had a child. His wife reportedly testified to Greek authorities that she knew nothing about her husband's relationship with the 45-year-old.

Greek police are examining evidence suggesting the two victims had a personal relationship, although the nature, duration and intensity of the relationship have not yet been fully clarified. This is considered essential to the investigation, as authorities are looking for a motive that led the 48-year-old to commit the murder.

In this context, a house search is being conducted at the 48-year-old's apartment in Tavros, with the aim of identifying evidence that may shed light on his relationship with the 45-year-old and the preparation of the crime.

The police are searching, among other things, for electronic devices, documents and any other findings that could help reconstruct his last movements and the communications he had before moving to the "Nea Smyrni" neighborhood.

At the same time, the mobile phones and online activities of the two individuals are being analyzed, in order to determine if there was any prior tension, meeting or communication that could be linked to what happened next.

The mother of the 45-year-old victim said the perpetrator had set up an ambush outside the building where she lived with her 16-year-old daughter. The elderly woman was in a state of shock. She said she had only learned a little about her daughter's murder after the other girl called her.

The 45-year-old's mother, answering reporters' questions, kept repeating: "I don't know anything" with tears filling her eyes. She said her daughter had not told her about any romantic relationship she might have had.

"I don't know anything. She hadn't told me anything. Now I found out about my daughter. The other girl called me and told me a while ago. She hadn't told me about her affair. She and her ex-husband had separated a long time ago," the old woman said with tears in her eyes and a trembling voice.

The woman was shot in the body and possibly in the face at the entrance to the building. Shortly after, the 48-year-old turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the head, ending his life. The revolver was found near his body and is a key find in the police investigation.

Another element that has come under the microscope of the Authorities is the 48-year-old's presence on social media. In the photos he had published, he appeared to be posing holding a gun in his hand, with the police now examining whether any of them are connected to the gun used in the murder-suicide.

Residents in the area have described hearing gunshots. "My neighbor said she heard gunshots early in the morning. This is my parents' house, I heard three gunshots at 5:30 a.m.," said a woman who was in the area, noting that she heard nothing else.

"I was sleeping, but I wasn't fast asleep at home. Suddenly we heard three very loud noises, which we didn't know if they were gunshots or not, but they were very loud. I counted three. Not repeated, there was a period of three, four, five seconds, one after the other," she said.

She said that a little later the siren of a police car was heard, without initially understanding what had happened. "I didn't believe it, it didn't occur to me that it was a gunshot, but it was...", she concluded. ©LAPSI.al
