A 52-year-old Albanian man has been arrested in Montenegro after allegedly raping a young woman on a secluded beach in Halkidiki four years ago. According to Greek media, a European arrest warrant had been issued for him. Authorities have begun extradition proceedings to Greece.
The incident allegedly occurred on May 30, 2022. The 22-year-old woman worked at a local hotel and had gone to the beach before her shift started. According to her testimony, the 52-year-old approached her and started talking to her. He then allegedly attacked, hit and raped her.
"I might not have made it out alive," the young woman declared after the incident. The 52-year-old is expected to be extradited to Greece to face rape charges.
