
Three Albanian nationals have been arrested during a large-scale police operation on Spreedorfer Straße, near the Czech border, in the German town of Ebersbach. According to police, officers raided a former company building and handcuffed three men aged 30, 38 and 49.
According to foreign media reports , during the search, authorities seized large quantities of suspicious chemicals, as well as equipment that was suspected of being used to establish a cannabis plantation. Police spokesman Stefan Heiduck announced that preliminary investigations indicate that the arrested were preparing to cultivate narcotics.
The police operation, which began at midnight, is still ongoing. Firefighters and the Federal Agency for Technical Assistance (THW) have also been involved in the operation, while investigations to fully clarify the case are ongoing.
