The police have issued an official statement following the incident in Saranda where a person was shot. The injured person has been transported to hospital, where he is receiving medical attention. He has been identified as Thimjo Rubati. The police statement states that the perpetrators fled the scene on a motorbike.

At around 21:15, in neighborhood no. 4, in Saranda, under still unclear circumstances, citizen Th. R., 50 years old, was wounded with a gunshot in front of his business. He was transported to the hospital, where he is receiving medical attention.
Police services immediately arrived at the scene and intensive checks are continuing in the area to identify and capture the perpetrator(s). Initial reports suggest that the perpetrators were two people wearing spacesuits, who fled the scene on a motorbike.
