A chain accident was recorded in neighborhood no. 4 of Saranda, on "Ismail Qemali" street, involving at least 7 vehicles.
According to preliminary sources, 50-year-old Dhimitër Papa, a resident of Saranda, is suspected of being drunk when he crashed the first vehicle. The collision then caused a chain reaction, damaging 6 other vehicles.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the accident, while the material damage is considerable.
Traffic police arrived at the scene and asked the 50-year-old to submit to a breathalyzer test. According to sources, he refused to take the breathalyzer test.
For this reason, the Pope has been escorted to the premises of the Saranda Police Station. The police are continuing their actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident and document the event. /BW
