Deputies of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) have gathered in the Assembly, just a few hours before the expiration of the constitutional deadline for the constitution of the 11th legislature.
The other two parties, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, have called on the Vetevendosje Movement (LVV) to call for a continuation of the constitutive session tonight, so that the process can be concluded within the deadline set by the Constitutional Court's verdict.
In its reaction, the LDK expressed concern about the failure to constitute the Assembly within the constitutional deadline, warning that such a situation risks placing Kosovo in a phase of constitutional uncertainty and lack of institutional legitimacy.
AAK MP Besnik Tahiri has accused the Vetevendosje Movement of violating the constitutional order, saying that its actions are creating a dangerous precedent for the country.
