Two people have been arrested in Tirana, suspected of involvement in the incident that occurred on August 23 in the "1 Maji" neighborhood in Kuçovë, where a gun was fired at a parked vehicle.

Kuçovë / A gun was fired at a parked vehicle, within a few hours the suspected perpetrator was caught and put in handcuffs. Another citizen, suspected of supporting the perpetrator of the crime, was also in handcuffs. The firearm and ammunition were seized.
Following the information provided on 23.08.2026, regarding the incident that occurred in the “1 Maji” neighborhood, Kuçovë, where a gun was fired at a parked vehicle, the services of the Kuçovë Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Berat Prosecutor's Office and the Special Operational Force of the Tirana DVP, continued intensive actions to locate and capture the suspected perpetrators. As a result of rapid investigative actions and coordinated work, in Tirana, it was possible to locate and capture citizens A. Ç., alias A. Gj., 32 years old, and A. Xh., 49 years old, both residents of Kuçovë. During the search of the apartment of citizen A. Xh., a firearm and several cartridges were found and seized on the terrace, which are suspected to be related to the incident.
At the end of the procedural actions, the following citizens were arrested:
– A. Ç., for the criminal offenses “Unauthorized possession of weapons and ammunition”, “Threat” and “Destruction of property”.
– A. Xh., for the criminal offenses “Supporting the perpetrator of the crime” and “Acts that hinder the discovery of the truth”.
Also, citizen S. Gj., 65 years old, resident of Kuçovë, was prosecuted for the criminal offense of “Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth”. The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Berat, for further action.
