A 59-year-old man, resident of Elbasan, was arrested by the Police over the weekend, suspected of attempting to establish contact with minors for the purpose of having sexual relations. It is learned that the 59-year-old is charged with the criminal offense of "Sexual or homosexual relations with minors", which remains in the attempted stage.
Preliminary investigations suspect that he obtained the phone numbers of minors through deception and seduction, then communicated with them and invited them to meet, initially in public places, such as cafes, and later in their homes.
The police are continuing their investigations to fully document the case, while the procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. Investigations are continuing to clarify the full circumstances and to determine if there are other people involved in this case.
