This Monday morning has marked a significant increase in the flow of movements at the Kakavija border crossing. Immigrants who have been on vacation in Albania have begun returning to the places where they live and work, causing influxes and queues at the largest customs point with the Greek state.
The Albanian side is working with three exit counters and two entry counters, while the Greek side operates with only one entry counter, which makes movement quite slow.
In the last 24 hours, the police services in Kakavija have processed 11,534 citizens entering and leaving, of which 3,932 entering and 7,602 leaving, as well as 3,228 vehicles entering and leaving, of which 1,046 entering and 2,182 leaving.
