Andi Bushati: Why did Rama's campaign against oligarchs arouse fear?

The “Flamingo Revolution” shook society’s way of thinking. Today, being one of the people who benefits from the autocrat is no longer seen as an honorable man, but risks becoming a hated character. This was proven by the wave of reaction against the millionaires of Rama’s court.

"Enough! The people demand dignity, justice and change," this was one of the messages of the massive protest against the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The 35th protest held this Saturday saw a massive turnout. As can be seen from the footage provided by lapsi.al, the boulevard was packed from the Prime Minister's Office to the end.

The participation of the diaspora who landed in Tirana to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama also played a role.

Since this Saturday's protest also coincided with Prime Minister Edi Rama's birthday, there were also some symbolic "gifts".

The first was a concrete cake, a symbol of the concretization of the country's nature, accompanied by the inscription: "As many years in prison as possible." Another had brought a cake congratulating Rama in prison together with Berisha.

Then Rama's bust was toppled while others brought a coffin with the inscription "the end of politics."

After the speeches, the protesters headed to Police Station 3 in support of the protesters detained during the protest in front of the Parliament that was accompanied by clashes.

"Without resigning, we will not stop", were their calls. The revolt is against the entire political class, while they have called for SPAK to investigate corrupt officials. "Edi Rama f*ck you", "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison", continue the protesters' calls. ©LAPSI.al
