The 35th mass protest is being held today, at 7:00 PM, where citizens are demanding the removal of the government and the non-negotiable resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Today's protest is nationwide, with the diaspora expected to be in Tirana in support of the 35-day revolt. The convoys have been underway since yesterday, while the police have stated that any Albanian citizen entering the territory these days will be subject to a thorough check. This is seen as an attempt to keep the diaspora from being part of the protest in Tirana.
The gathering of protesters is expected to start at "Skënderbej" Square, while the march will then continue towards the Prime Minister's Office building, where the protesters will express their demands.
The main demand of the protest remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. Organizers have stated that the protests will continue until this demand is met, inviting citizens to participate en masse in what is being described as the 34th protest in a row.
"The end has come for you," is the message that the organizers conveyed in their call for participation in the protest.
