When the client gives you a red card

When a business owner decides to enter into public debate, to belittle or insult protesters, he cannot expect to quietly go back behind the counter and say: politics is politics, business is business.

Andi Bushati: Why did Rama's campaign against oligarchs arouse fear?

The “Flamingo Revolution” shook society’s way of thinking. Today, being one of the people who benefits from the autocrat is no longer seen as an honorable man, but risks becoming a hated character. This was proven by the wave of reaction against the millionaires of Rama’s court.

Italian MEP: We will go and see the situation of the protests in Albania

Italian MEP Cristina Guarda, who is part of the "Greens" parliamentary group, has announced that she will be in Albania in a few days to discuss the Zvërnec issue.

"In a few days, we European Greens will be in Albania. We come to you to support you, to understand more deeply, without institutional mediation, the meaning of these protests: environmental, human, against corruption and for the self-determination of a community that is not subject to private interests and speculation" - she declares in a video posted on social networks.

"We come to meet you, but also to convey the message coming from the European committees and delegations that care about Albania, of which I am a member."

Because Albania's movement towards Europe and its entry into the Union must serve the people, to help them live better, to see their rights and dignity increasingly recognized.

But Europe can take so much from Albanians. And today it receives a wake-up call: those rights, human and environmental protection, cannot be taken for granted. They must continue to be recognized, respected and protected. See you very soon” – declares the Italian MEP. ©LAPSI.al
