Algorithm Concerns/Accounts That Promoted Flamingo Protest Disappear on Social Media

The closure of the accounts of some of the most active voices of the flamingo protest raises suspicions of a coordinated wave of reporting and a new form of censorship on social networks, precisely on the ground where the protest had broken the dominance of government propaganda and which Edi Rama has been identifying as a problem for months, blaming the "algorithm".

Adnan Xholi in the race for Prosecutor General, submits application to the KLP

SPAK Prosecutor Adnan Xholi is the first candidate to officially submit his application for the Prosecutor General race. Xholi has previously run twice for SPAK leadership and has held the position of Head of the Organized Crime Section at the Special Prosecution Office.  

The deadline for submitting candidacies ends on August 1, while Olsian Çela's mandate ends in December. Other candidates are expected to present themselves by then.

Then, by August 14, the KLP will verify whether the candidates meet the legal requirements. According to the law, the KLP proposes three candidates to the Assembly, while the new Prosecutor General is elected by the Parliament for a 7-year mandate.
