Two Albanians have been arrested in Italy for the attempted murder of a 25-year-old man in Mirano. Luigj Makaj, 44, and Armiol Gjoka, 40, were captured on the morning of July 27, after nearly a month on the run. The two suspects ambushed the young Albanian, identified by the initials RK, on ​​July 1, and shot him. 

The prosecution suspects that the conflict was related to the 25-year-old's decision to break away from drug dealing and start working in the construction sector. This decision was allegedly not accepted by the criminal group. Investigators discovered that the young man and his partner had been shot several months earlier. The two suspects were located through wiretaps, pursuits and electronic traces. During the operation, the homes of people close to them were also searched. Authorities seized phones and communications that are expected to help the investigation. Makaj and Gjoka have been sent to two different prisons, in Venice and Padua.
