Following the close cooperation between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Lyon, France, as well as after the exchange of information between the two structures, the French authorities have confirmed the arrest, in the city of Amiens, France, of citizen E. B, 44 years old, declared internationally wanted, at the request of the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).
The Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime has assigned this citizen the personal security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Illegal deprivation of liberty", "Illegal competition through violence", committed in a special form of cooperation, that of a structured criminal group, "Violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions", "Structured criminal group", "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group", as well as "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense".
Citizen EB was initially detained by the French Air and Space Forces, which then referred the matter to the French Gendarmerie structures.
He is currently in custody. He is expected to appear before the Amiens Criminal Court tomorrow, where he will be officially notified of the international wanted list, in order to proceed with extradition procedures to Albania.
