The head of SPAK, Klodian Braho, left open the possibility of a new request to the Parliament to lift the immunity of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, while announcing that the investigations against her have continued with intensity even after the first request was rejected by Parliament.
Asked whether SPAK will address the Assembly again, Braho did not give a definitive answer, but emphasized that the decision will depend on new evidence that will be collected during the investigation.
"The investigations have continued with intensity even after that decision. They have progressed even further. I cannot say whether or not a new request will be made. The decision is conditioned by the circumstances of the investigation, the results we will have and the parliament has made a decision on a request that we made. We cannot go again with the same evidence," declared the head of SPAK.
Asked about the materials published within the framework of "Albanian Files", Braho said that SPAK has received two materials and that they are currently in the verification phase.
"There are two materials that have arrived at the prosecutor's office. We are in the verification phase. I cannot provide more details," he said.
