Fires are back in Krujë. A new fire has been registered again in the Krastë e Krujës area, this time in its northern part, bringing back concerns about the fire situation in this area. According to citizen reports for BalkanWeb, the fire is suspected to be intentional and is progressing rapidly, also favored by strong winds.
The situation is becoming more worrying as the area where the flames are advancing is home to explosives warehouses, which are used to supply quarries. Due to the danger, the army helicopter has returned to the area to help deal with the situation. Meanwhile, the Kruja fire brigade has created a security perimeter to prevent the flames from approaching the warehouses.
The situation continues to remain problematic in the Abazaj neighborhood in Kruja, where residents have requested help to deal with the fire.
Citizens declare that they have called to request intervention, but according to them, their calls have not been answered in time. Forces on the ground continue their efforts to isolate the fires, while the risk remains high due to the wind and the proximity of the fire to dangerous areas.
