VIEWS/ Massive fire approaching Surrel

A massive fire that has been burning on Mount Dajti for more than 10 days has reached frightening proportions this Wednesday. 

The fire started in the Priska area and has now spread towards the Surrel area. 

The Ministry of Defense says it has engaged 22 firefighting and ADZM forces, supported by 2 Air Force helicopters, while 15 personnel are operating in Priska e Madhe with 4 firefighting vehicles and support from 2 helicopters. 

Officially, it is said that there is no danger to residential areas in both areas. However, there are increased police forces in the area, also because the residence of the head of government is in Surrel. ©LAPSI.al
