Fires in the country/ 24 fires reported in 24 hours, 7 remain active

Seven fire outbreaks remain active in the country, while two others are being monitored. A total of 24 outbreaks have been reported in the last 24 hours. The most problematic situation is in Dajti Mountain, Gurë-Lurë in Dibrës, Bruç in Mati, Lufaj in Mirdita and Fushë-Lajë in Puka.

In Dajt, the fire continues on both sides of the ridge. Firefighting forces, 50 Armed Forces personnel and a helicopter are engaged on the ground. According to the authorities, homes are not in danger. A large-scale operation is also underway in Gurë-Lura. Over 200 forces are working on the ground, while two Air Tractor aircraft are intervening from the air. Open corridors have stopped the spread of flames towards residential areas.

In Fushë-Lajë, the wind has pushed the fire towards the forests of Tërbun and Gjegjan. Firefighters, army personnel, forestry workers and volunteers are engaged in the area. In Qafë Helmës, the fire has been extinguished on the Bulqiza side, but a hearth remains active towards Selishta. Meanwhile, the situation in Vakumone is under control, while Priska continues to be monitored.
