Five complaints filed after the evaluation phase have led to the Public Procurement Commission launching three procedures for the laundry service in hospitals, with a joint limit fund of around 608.2 million lek or over 6.1 million euros. The tenders were developed by the Centralized Purchasing Operator and relate to the laundry service for the Regional Hospital “Memorial” Fier, the Regional Hospital Center Berat and the Regional Hospital Durrës.
The procedure with the highest fund is the one for the supply of laundry services at the Durrës Regional Hospital, with a limit fund of around 296.98 million lek. The complaint for this tender was submitted by one economic operator. For the “Memorial” Regional Hospital in Fier, the limit fund amounts to 188.48 million lek. The procedure was appealed by two economic operators, who objected to the result of the evaluation phase.
The tender for the supply and service of laundry at the Berat Regional Hospital Center has a limit fund of about 122.76 million lek. This procedure has also been concluded at the Public Procurement Commission after complaints filed by two economic operators. In total, there are five complaints related to three different procurement procedures opened at different times during this year. All complaints are related to the evaluation of bids, passing the review of the procedures to the Public Procurement Commission.
The period for which the service is required is usually related to a period of several years, which makes the value of the tenders considerable. For example, in the case of the service for the “Memorial” hospital in Fier, the time required to cover the service is 48 months. The same is the time required for the service for the hospital in Durrës, the tender for which was opened in May of this year.
