The 39th protest against the government continued this evening with citizens marching through the streets of the capital, after the speeches held in front of the Prime Minister's Office concluded.
With banners in their hands and continuous calls against the government, protesters have demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, accusing him of corruption and mismanagement of the country.
During the march, chants such as: "Edi Rama, SPAK-you", "Rama in prison" and "Your end has come", were heard, as the participants continued their route through the streets of Tirana.
Banners with political messages were also displayed at the protest, reading: "39 days the people speak, the government is silent", and "Only prison will sober them up".
Protesters have declared that they will continue the rallies until their demands are met, emphasizing that the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama remains the movement's main demand.
What started as a reaction against the project in Zvërnec has turned into a broad revolt against the political caste, with demands for the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the construction of a new political system. /LAPSI.al
