This was warned weeks ago by the NATO Secretary General, who said that Albania has not met the criterion for defense spending of 5% of GDP, which could be a reason to review the decision to hold the summit in 2027.

Albania has been engulfed by a broad wave of protests against Prime Minister Edi Rama for a month.
