The Kakavija Customs Branch announces that movement at the Kakavija Border Crossing Point will be temporarily suspended on Monday, July 27, 2026, due to a strike by employees of the Greek side.
According to the announcement of the Greek customs authorities, from 07:00 to 11:00 (Albanian time) customs processing and the passage of vehicles entering and exiting the border point will be suspended. During this interval, all vehicles will be blocked from moving due to the interruption of services from the Greek side.
Albanian Customs is calling on citizens and businesses planning to travel to Greece to avoid using the Kakavija Border Crossing Point between 07:00 and 11:00 on Monday. Authorities advise travelers to plan their movements outside this time frame to avoid delays and waiting at the border.
