
Three ships and about 30 activists of the Global Sumud Flotilla will set off on Thursday for Albania to support the flamingo revolution. The tour will focus on Sazani, Zvërnec, Gaza and the model of tourism development from the two shores of the Adriatic, which has at its center the same characters as the "Riviera Gaza".
They will have several activities on August 20th until they depart by boat in the evening towards the Albanian coast. Here is the full program....
11:00 AM – PRESS CONFERENCE

A press conference of the Global Sumud Flotilla and organizations supporting the mission is scheduled for 11:00.
The conference is expected to be attended by Tony La Piccirella, Global Sumud Flotilla. Yazan Issa, Global Sumud Klara Osma, Albanian activist; Bobo Aprile, Brindisi Committee against the genocide of the Palestinian people, against rearmament and for peace; Cosimo Quaranta, from the same committee.
The conference will serve to present the mission towards Albania, the reasons for solidarity with the "Flamingo Revolution", and the political and environmental issues that the organizers want to place at the center of the debate.
6:00 PM – “MUSIC & WORDS”
Piazza San Teodoro d'Amasea, in front of Palazzo Montenegro
At 6:00 PM, the event will move to Piazza San Teodoro d'Amasea, where a program of discussions, testimonies, music and artistic performances will take place.
The program featured Prof. Luigi Cazzato, Rihab Charida, from the Greek delegation of Global Sumud, Antonela Dedja, director and activist of the Albanian diaspora. Annatina Fanigliulo, economist.
The artistic program will include:
Giò Sada, Nick The Freak & Mr. Bogo y Los Amigos de la Suerte, Carlo Chicco, Fatmira Khan, Via Bovio, Rahma, Ugo Custodero and DJ Alberto Michele.
The organizers have conceived this part of the day as a moment of meeting between the Albanian, Italian and international communities and as a solidarity activity before the departure of the flotilla.
22:00 – SHIPS DEPARTURE
At 22:00, from the port of Brindisi, the ships of the Global Sumud Flotilla are expected to depart for Albania, with destination Sazanin.
According to the organizers' announcement, this will be the culmination of a whole day of public activities in Brindisi.
After the departure, activities in Brindisi will continue with music and solidarity initiatives.
