Mystery in Athens, a British woman is found dead inside a suitcase

Greek authorities have identified the body found inside a suitcase in an abandoned building in central Athens. The victim is a 38-year-old British citizen who, according to preliminary investigations, had died several weeks before the body was discovered.

The body was found on July 18 by a homeless person in an abandoned building in the Kypseli neighborhood of Athens. The victim was wrapped in clothes and placed in a garbage bag inside a suitcase.

According to Greek authorities, the woman was about 1.62 meters tall, with reddish hair tied in a bun. At the time of her discovery, she was wearing a black T-shirt and shorts. She had no tattoos or other distinguishing marks.

Investigations have revealed that the 38-year-old had arrived in Greece on June 29 from Cyprus, having previously traveled from the United States of America.

Greek police are continuing their investigations to fully uncover the incident, while security camera footage is being analyzed to reconstruct her movements before her death.

Due to the manner in which the body was found, authorities are treating the case as a criminal act. According to Greek media, an autopsy showed that the victim had died about eight days before the body was discovered, and there were no signs of violence or a struggle.

Investigators do not rule out the involvement of British authorities in the investigation process, while work to clarify the circumstances of the death continues.

A decisive moment for Albania

It is the first time that Albanians feel they can shape the national debate without waiting for political parties to take the lead. Experience teaches us that democracy depends not only on elections, but also on active citizenship among them.
