Week with extreme temperatures in Albania: On Wednesday, temperatures above 42

This week is expected to be engulfed by another African heat wave, with air temperatures set to exceed 40 degrees Celsius.

According to weather forecasters, Wednesday will be the extremely hottest day with temperatures reaching 42 degrees in the shade.

Elbasan and Berat are the cities with the highest temperatures, but the capital will not be spared either.

Even the minimum values will increase, making it cold neither day nor night.

Due to the high risk of high temperatures, experts are urging citizens to be careful about fires and to avoid igniting hazardous products and liquids.

This week of August will be dominated by clear skies and no precipitation is expected, although temperatures are expected to drop by about 4 or 5 degrees Celsius over the weekend.

Greece lowers food prices, Rama: We will not intervene, the "system" does not allow us

The Greek government has reduced the prices of more than 1,700 products through an agreement with industry, suppliers and supermarkets; on the other hand, the Albanian government says it cannot intervene in prices because the "system" forbids it and promises only "transparency", at a time when Albanians are paying more for food than the European Union average and with price increases much higher than their neighbors.
