
Eight fires remain active in the country, while five others are being monitored. A total of 33 fires have been reported in the last 24 hours. Over 500 forces and 51 firefighting vehicles have been engaged in the operations to extinguish the flames. The Armed Forces are also operating on the ground, supported by helicopters and Air Tractor aircraft. The most problematic situation is in Dajti Mountain and in Gurë-Lurë in Dibra.
In Dajt, the intervention from land and air continues, with dozens of firefighters, military forces and two helicopters. According to the authorities, the homes are not in danger. The fires in Priska and Vakumone have been brought under control.
A large-scale operation is underway in Gurë-Lura with over 200 forces. Two Air Tractor aircraft are supporting the intervention from the air. Open corridors on the ground have stopped the spread of the fire towards residential areas.
Active outbreaks also remain in Qafë Helmës, Bruç, Lufaj i Mirdita and Fushë-Lajë i Pukë. In Rrjoll, the situation is also being monitored with drones.
